David joined Terrain in 2015 and is a licensed architect in California with 19 years of experience. As a Principal and Technical Director, he is closely involved with each project’s design, documentation, permitting and construction process.

David is a natural problem solver who thrives on challenges and exploring solutions. He is well versed in a range of building assemblies and has experience with most construction types, each with their specific code constraints. His adept understanding of structure and MEP trades is applied to solving both design and site challenges.

Since he joined Terrain, he has taken on a lead role on many adaptive reuse, tenant improvement, repositioning, and ground-up projects, ranging from small-scale workplace and retail to 260,000 SF media campuses.

David received his Bachelor of Architecture from Cal Poly San Luis Obispo in 2006.
