Madhappy Store

Terrain recently completed another addition to the Cross Creek Ranch campus—the Malibu flagship for Madhappy, a contemporary clothing brand rooted in optimism. Delivered on an accelerated schedule in the wake of the Palisades fire, the process required a strategic effort to quickly establish a presence in Malibu while remaining aligned with the brand’s core values.

Rather than maximizing foot traffic, the design invests in community infrastructure and opportunities for meaningful engagement. Organized around an open-plan layout, the design encourages social interaction and exploration through integrated seating areas, generous sightlines, and the brand’s Pantry cafe concept. This cafe offers a curated selection of food and beverages, and transforms the store into a social destination rather than just a point of transaction.
